Bloody hell. Vomited 4 times within a few hours yesterday! Can't even remember the last time I vomited. And now I had 4 in a row, with the help of shitty peer pressure and Carlsberg and another patron who bought 3 jugs of it (worth $75) to treat us on that day! MRT INCIDENT

Today, I was taking a train from Jurong East back to my destination at Bukit Gombak at 2230 hours and for the FIRST BLOODY TIME in my life, I went to Chua Chu Kang and came back to Bukit Gombak via another train. I am very pissed off because I missed my stop in the MRT even though I was just beside the train doors and it wasn't even peak hours!

TMDNBCCB, dunno is the door alarm fast or the people in front of me too nonchalant/bo chup to move fast and are taking their own sweet time to move out. I got a Chinese guy standing in front of the door blocking my way. OK nvm, then I got 2 Indian guy, beside the Chinese man, who are taking their own sweet time to move out.

"Door closing, beep beep beep."

'WTF? The announcement so fast?Argh, fking crap, I am blocked by so many people, how to get out in time?' I thought to myself.

Then, I saw a man outside who attempted to stop the door by putting his hands there before it closes and one of the Indian man inside attempted to put his leg there to stop. Simultaneously, the other Indian man tried to put his 'body on the line' and block the door.

'Wa, got hope already, the door will open again due to the sensors detecting foreign objects and we can get out together liao.'

Then, my last glimmer of hope faded when the door shut firmly on their faces. Grasps of 'OH MY GOD' can be heard from some passengers behind me but luckily, they managed to pull out their limbs/bodies at the last second and avoided a serious disaster.

sidenote: I strongly believe that if they persisted and did not release their bodies away from the doors, some of their body parts might had been amputated/crushed.

There, my last rays of hope faded out eventually. And I fking went to CCK and come back to GOMBAK. BLOODY ANGRY SIA!

And the irony is that, it happened that another Indian guy who were sitting beside me before the train reached Gombak, had managed to be the last person to get out. But fuck, I was just behind him and yet I cannot get out. @!%!%!^$#!$@!%

PS: I believe that MRT sensors are useless. FKED UP DAY.

Change of environment.

Ever since I declare to quit, the attitude of ppl in my work place changes. kinda sad to see the sudden change of attitude but still life goes on.

OK, so I was transferred from IBM to Basan. A downgrade if you say so, as the place is not air-conditioned any more. Furthermore, the fans are spoilt so basically, we are working in a warehouse without fans, windows and any decent form of ventilation. :( But the best thing is, my supervisor and colleague still as friendly and nice as ever. :)

PS: I tendered my resignation on Monday, 3rd May. And I ll be quitting on 14th may after consultation with the manager. Hope the agent don't fk me up.

XX immediately place her index finger towards my lips and she moved slowly towards me. The smell of the perfume was so intoxicating. I was so nervous that my heart started to beat faster and faster..

Then she placed her chin on my shoulder. Her soft silky hair, brushing against my cheeks. At that moment, I felt that my heart will burst out of my ribcage.

"It's ok love. Don't worry." she whispered into my ears.

And she held my hands and pulled me along like a toy.

But I was enjoying it. It doesn't matter (or rather, I don't care), if she got a BF or what. As long as I am not close to the BF, and in this case, a stranger, it will be fine. We went around the place like a loving couple, walking around the mall, window-shopping all over the place.

自从我再2006 年从树群中学考到了我的 'O' 水准证书而毕业后，我就再也没有好好的运用到华文了。我在这含有至少3000年文化历史的华文运用方式已退化到莫一种程度，到现在我只用华文仅仅在读些报纸里的报章和和别人用华语沟通罢了。

我们原始华文的根源可是从商朝的甲骨文遗迹所演变出来的。但到了秦朝后，我们的原始华文经过秦始皇的所下的命令，才逐渐地经过一番改革和普遍化。在他统一中国前，每个小国和省份都有自己的华文写法。他觉得这太麻烦了。所以当他统一中国后，他也决定统一这个语言的写法。这决定就带来了隶书，也就是我们现在学习的‘摩登’华文。

当我来到了理工学院后，这急速的退化我的华文。为何如此呢？因为我们的班都是用English来教的。连一个华文课程都没有。但是有一小部分的人还是有机会学华语的。他们可靠他们的卓越的成绩去选 "Chinese Studies" 的呀。

这是个很令人担忧的趋势。如果我们没好好的去学习以及运用的话，那这3000年来我们的祖先所辛辛苦苦所学习的，所传下来给我们的‘遗产’不是被我们给白白浪费了吗？难道这代代相传的语言会在这21, 22世纪，像现已消失的玛雅和印加人，被灭绝吗？

没想到这3000年前的古迹到了现在还没有被人遗忘。

It's been 3 years since I properly studied Chinese for my O levels in my secondary school and I had not been using them in writing ever since. Except for reading and speaking this language, I basically have zero usage in this ancient language, which have its roots from the Shang Dynasty, who recorded their writings on oracle bones in 1200 BC, approximately 3200 years ago.

And the birth of modern Chinese was born during the Qin Dynasty, the first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang, decided that he wanted to standardize a unified system for the usage of Chinese in his kingdom. This action of the Emperor eventually leads to the birth of Modern Chinese, called the Lishu (隸書), or Clerkly Script..

After 2007, my uses of Chinese had been minimal, other then using basic conversational Chinese with my classmates, due to the lack of opportunities to use it during lessons, as classes were all conducted in English and there is no visible need to even touch on Chinese as it had been relegated to a second-tier language after English.

This begs the questions: Is Chinese less important? Everyone is talking about the rise of China as a global economic power and Chinese is getting more and more emphasis in our global environment. So it brings the next questions: Are polytechnic students losing out to JC students who had a more rounded education and also a more in depth knowledge of Chinese during their 2 year course?

Why not put Chinese lessons into the class? I know there are Courses and Interdisciplinary Studies (IS) in Ngee Ann Poly (NP) which do provide Chinese studies if I am not wrong. But, those are only for those who were privileged enough to get in.

This is a worrying trend. What if Chinese goes the way of the Incas or the Aztec and become extinct and unknown?

It will be the most 'famous and greatest' extinction since the Dodo and the Dinosaurs.

You think you know me well but you actually don't know me THAT well.

So I will be writing a series of Top 10.

Top 10 hilarious moments I witness

1. Jocelyn bf jumping around for joy as if he won TOTO first prize, when he smashed her birthday cake into her face. (2010)

2. Yu Min conversation with Malcom ('s mum?)

"Hello."

"Hello. Who are you?"

"Wo shi lan jiao bin."

3. Watching Jing Kang play in Toh Guan street soccer court. No corner rule for street soccer courts. So he went to cleared the ball out of the playing area and cockily said.

“还不是我们的球! (hai bu shi wo men de qiu!)”

And immediately after saying that, he fell down. (2006)

4. Mr Yu Min and soccer again. This time we were playing in the school field. My team had conceded a penalty kick. And fortunately, our goalie (can't remember who.) saved the ball. And my dear friend here said.

"Wa, swee ar swee ar!" and then kicked the ball with all his might.

Then, we heard the sound of glass shattering. He had hit the ball onto the glass panels of the science lab. Unforgettable. (2006)

5. Night cycling trip. Went cycling from Jurong East to West coast park. And during our break time we were chatting and then one of my friend (4,5 friends went) took out a spanner and try to tighten his bicycle nut.

Then we heard police sirens and were anticipating a check on us, since it was 2,3am at that time.

"Oi, hurry keep your spanner and screwdrivers. Wait they thought we in gang and confiscate."

And immediately, Malcom throw the spanner into the bush beside him.

And the WTF face on Jiahao's face is Classic! (2008)

6. Yu Xue. It was during the O levels and we were in school for late night studying. And Zi hao was showing his 'magic tricks'.

"Choose a card. And I will find it."

"Ok."

And one of them took 1 card. And Zi Hao took the card back and rubbed the cards vigorously and shuffled them.

"Ok this is your chosen card!" (which was correct.)

"Wa, how you do that sia!"

"Magic lai de cannot say."

"Oh I know, you use heat right?!" Yu Xue said. (2006)

7. Burger King Vs JX. And Fa Xian Chaletmania Ai. Unforgettable comedy.

9. Cant remember who's birthday. But there's 2 guy (Jia Hao and Malcom?) holding on to the birthday boy for our cake smash custom. And they got smashed too. :( (2008)

Hi, today i went to the Old Ford Factory (OFF) at 3pm. Quite a fascinating place but it was relatively small in size and stature.

Ok some facts for you guys.

Singapore was named Syonan-To during the Japanese Occupation.
Malaya was named Malai?! (Think so. forget liao)

Ok here are the good and bad news during the visit for you guys. Ok i know you guys always want the bad news first.

The bad news:

Situation 1: I forgot to charge my phone.
Result: No photos to let you guys take a look.

Situation 2: Wanted to get some free souveniors
Result: I really wanted to bring back some souveniors and brochures to allow you guys to take a look but unfortunately, the man-in-charge was unable to provide me with one.

Situation 3: Wanted to buy some souveniors.
Result: Bring 10$ out. Buy macdonalds for breakfast for 6$. Entrance 2.50$. Left $1.50. Buy what shit?!

Good news:

Situation 4: The entry is cheap.
Result: $2.50 only for students!

Situation 5: The place is breezy and have a nice environment outside.
Result: You don't even need to pay to visit the garden outside~!

Situation 6: There is also a AV theatre
Result: Wow! Even got free movie leh!

Personal Problems I met on the journey:

Problem 1: Don't know where to alight.
Solution 1: Alighted 3 bus stops away. And walked back. =.=

Problem 2: Got road works telling people that the walkway is closed.
Solution 2: KNN took a detour up a hill and down again. =.=!

Problem 3: Sian, go alone. Don't know the ULU place got a single soul or not.
Solution 3: WAKAO. Dunno which secondary school pupils there sia. AT LEAST 80 PPL. =.=!!

Problem 4: Aiya, off-peak hours sure can see the exhibits slowly and peacefully.
Solution 4: No solution/Didn't feedback to the teachers/staff. KNN the students think its a zoo sia! KPKB around. =.=!!!

Ok that sums up my experience today.

Personal 7.5/10. Didn't like the noise level, didn't like the crowd. No tourguide. Only 2 staffs offered to talk to me. But content-wise quite good, considering that their exhibits are quite well done.

Overall: 6/10. Do not visit if you have 0% interest in Singapore's history.

我现在的感受。

一年又一年过了, 新的一年也即将要来临了。我也要写出我第一个华文作品了。

现在是2010年，我的十九岁人生已度过了许许多多的挫折。从98年的亚洲金融风暴，到00年的千禧年、03年的非典型肺炎到09年的禽流感，我都一一的度过了。我现在也逐渐迈入了我的20岁生日。算了算，我的渺小的生命已渡过了两个世纪。不，我不是个200岁的老人，也不是东方不败。我只是在20世纪出生的小孩，但是个生活在第21世纪的“小大人”。

在这2010年，我已跟许多朋友做了好多无谓的争论。这都是应为我们的意见不一致所导致的。但是，那问题的根源其实是在我们的沟通上出现了毛病。那天，我也无意间的发现了做人的道理。那就是吵架时必须要给对方一个退让的余地。但是如果他得寸进尺的话，有时跟他讲道理的话有可能会帮助你解决问题。如果他还是无理取闹，不听劝告呢？那就是你该退让的时候了。有时后没办法，一定要吞下这口气，因为如果你不忍下去的话，这情况一定会把这问题陷入僵局，个无所得。以其把局势闹得沸沸洋洋，还不如自己忍气吞声，当着这一次是个学习的生活过程。

知道来龙去脉的人读到了这里，可能你觉得作者我，有点不讲理，很记仇。如果你觉得我的作品冒犯了你，我在这诚恳地向你道歉。我只是想把我的心里面的沉重负担所写下来，而且我也不是个那么小气的人吧。

现在写些好的。我很欣慰我的大多数的功课和问题已都迎刃而解了。但是，我觉得我最近个人好像被丘比特给盯上了。无意间发现我好想念你，难道这就是爱吗？真是的，我可能都还没准备好进入一段暧昧关系呢！

Today on my way back, an indian NP student left her wallet behind when she was alighting. I wanted to call out to her but alas, its too late.

Initially wanted to call bus driver to stop the bus but too paiseh to do it. So, I developed on plan B, which is to return the wallet to the transitlink office in the interchange.

And they didnt take down anything. The lady just take the wallet over and check the contents and say

'ahh.. ok then we will take care of it..' LOL to think that i might get nominated for SKM (Singapore Kindness Award) for this deed is too far-fletched already then =(

Anyways tommorow is 4D day.

I boarded bus 945 in the interchange with this FKER AND HIS ANG MOH GF. Lets call them FKERS. I was watching them because even before they board the bus they were already v loud and attention catching.

So FKERS sat in the first seat behind the driver. Then I was sitting at the location I mapped out.

So he proceed to the exit, pulling the gf along, when 80% of the passengers were in already. so the driver closed the door and he rush to the exit.. the door opened due to a sensor *i think* and den they rush off the bus.. But the bus was already moving at about 5kmh.

so FKERS jumped off the bus and nearly fell. I heard the SLUT say: "what the hell was that"

Review of New Year Resolution(NYR)

After 4 months, its time to review my New Year Resolution to ensure that I am on the right track.

My Realistic Targets...

1. To train up myself and get 11mins for 2.4km. (currently is 20min for 2km)

I think this target should be put under the Impossible Section (IS).

2. ~~To get GPA 3 MINIMUM.~~ (currently 2.7 GPA)

Ok la. This target will be sustained till I graduated. Hopefully it wont be a one off thing.

3. To play more soccer! (either physically or financially)

Both not done. Cause no physical and no fianance.

4. To try not to lose anymore friends. (more on lost friends on other post)

Not my fault. I neutral towards CK. =)

In Between...
5. To be more involved in school activities.

Thinking of transferring it to IS too.

6. To be the QuadraPop Champion once again.

No Chance In Hell. Going in IS or maybe I should erase/suspend this from my NYR unless I get a new Sony phone.

Life of a complainer

13th feb 2009 aka Friday the 13th.

OK so today I woke up late for class, where I am supposed to hand up the Strength of Materials tutorials. So ok class start at 9am. And I woke up at 10am. So arghh. I messaged my friend, jacq and I ask her if she was around in school. So ya, she decided to come to school at 3.30pm to meet me cause shes going to settle some stuffs too.Ok so after that we went to town and decided to eat sake sushi at park mall. So we went for a dinner buffet which went for $15++ for students if I am not mistaken. So lets fast forward to the issue.

8+pm: It was getting late and we ordered our complimentary red plates. It was a salmon sashimi and mine was a cheezy crab. So after awhile jacq got her sashimi and mine still didnt appear. Ok. Maybe they are busy. 8+pm is approximated timing cause we ain't sure about the time.

9pm: We ask one of the staff there whats wrong and where is the cheezy crab maki we ordered. So she went back to check.

9.20pm: A different waiteress came and told us there's no more crab maki. And wants us to reorder. So this is the first sign of trouble. I asked for recommendations from the waiteress. And she was like stunned. =.=!! So I ordered this hana maki which she recommended.

9.30pm: A male waiter came and told us the last order is at 9.30pm. Then we told him we ordered our sushi at 9.20pm which is like 10mins ago. Then I asked him: "Whats the average serving time for a sushi?" And he replied that it depends on the crowds. So I asked again. "In this crowd, whats the waiting time?" And he told us its 5mins. So, I let him off and he goes in to check on my sushi.

9.45pm: No signs of waiters entertaining us.

10pm: Blew my top already. I asked the waitress standing behind me washing the tables to call her manager to come. She then hurried off before coming back and clean the tables again.

Few minutes later: This guy came over and introduced himself as a supervisor. Ok no manager. So he came over and the first thing he do after introducing himself is to peer over at my notebook of events featured below:

So ok fine. So ya I told him "Eh excuse me. But I ordered my sushi at 9.30 and it still didnt come. And is it normal to wait 1 hour for a sushi?"

"So far all the orders were on time and only this red plate is causing problems." added jacq.

"Err, I can call them to bring your sushi here as soon as possible."

"Er.. We don't want the sushi already." jacq interrupted the exchanges between me and the supervisor.

"Err, do you want some complimentary desserts for you all? I can bring them to you here."

"Eh. Sorry but I demand a suitable explaination for the delay for the sushi."

"Oh, there is a technical problem with the printer.."

"Oh is it? But we did not order through this computer system, which is faulty. We order through the waiters."

"Err, its the printer that we used that is linked to the kitchen. Maybe they never reach the kitchen."

Some forgotten exchanges again. And then.

-eerie silence-

"Ok. Do you have a feedback form? Can you pass it to me now? Thanks"

"Ok." Then he walked off.

Then after a while he passed me the form and a pen and went off again.

(I seriously thought that he will wait there and apologize or pass me 2 red plates or whatever until I write finish the form. But wells...)

So ya.. Below is the feed back form...

So ya. When we went off to pay, got this group of 8 buddies all asked to pay individually. Really wtf. Why not they let me pay first since I am paying at once? Oh wells. *shrugs shoulders*

When it's my turn, the supervisor said:

" The green tea is on the house."

"Orh." (When I heard that I want to scold him initially. Wtf. Its just a green tea which cost $1 x 2 pax. You think I cannot afford to pay ar? Why not you deduct $5.20 from me since the red plate cost that amout? Why not you return me the 1 hour that is spent waiting for the sushi? )

So in the end I paid $37.40. And before I left, I said to him. " Do ensure that this feedback form goes to the right channels. I expect to get a proper reply from Sake Sushi. Thank you very much." And he just nodded his head nonchalently.

And I walked out the shop without turning back and without getting a decent apology. Thank you.

And so I finished my rantings for today.

I don't understand. Why money is such a big stumbling block. Just jolly well don't come if you can't afford it. Making changes after changes, wasting valuable time and hard work. Please know what people are doing behind the scene to make the thing happen. Bloody hell.

Ok that's what I think at the moment. Maybe I will have to sound diplomatic when people ask me about it next time.

3 Days ago, I saw a boy no more then 10 years old being hand cuffed in the Challenger store at IMM. Its so tragic and saddening to witness such a scene.

He have this innocent look about him and I overheard words like ' game, stolen' from the policeman who is escorting him past. His hands was handcuffed behind his back and the policeman needed to bend down slightly to hold onto to cuffs to ensure the child does not escape.

The child's height was like the height of the policeman waist.. Sad. Hope he gets a better education in Boy's home or something since his parents cannot afford the time/effort to educate the poor child.

IF he was my brother, I will really be speechless and really at a loss. A young talent just went down the drain.

5. To be more involved in school activities.

7. To try to maintain/improve my figure and current facial features.

8. Get a decent girlfriend.

9. Clean up my room.

Ok guys this is the photos from the army exhibition on 27/11 if I am not wrong.
So anyways, without further ado lets start the presentation...

First up, pictures from the Guards divison. This jeep over here is fitted with guns and 4 crews. If you can see, there's a mirror and the guy in the front seat is combing his hair...

Ok next, it is the Armour Division. Over here you can see a very fierce soldier here staring straight at the camera. Behind him, it is a armored vehicle meant for transporting people.

Next, we have a soldier right out from our comics book...

Ex- teacher dies while crossing road. (Pardon me for any translation mistakes as this article is taken from the Chinese newspaper and my com cant type Chinese)

A retired teacher was hit by a car while crossing a road. He passed away in NUH (Guo Da Yi Yuan) at 2am today. The accident happened yesterday at 2.30pm at Bukit Batok St 31 Block 375 below.

The deceased, Mr Huang Kai Guo (translated literally from the report.) , 65, was knocked down by a van. The driver, a 40+ man, and a fellow passenger woman in her twenties went to assist Mr Huang after knocking him down.

What significance does this report meant you people may ask.. Ok according to the report, the deceased was a teacher from Bukit View Primary School, which is my primary school, and he retired 10 years ago after teaching for 30 years. So, I start to recall if I had any teachers in his fifties with the sirname Huang when I was still studying there..

Fortunately/Unfortunately, he never taught me before. So, I did my research and I took out my year book and tried to find anyone with English name resembling his Chinese name.

And I found him.

He is Mr Wee Kai Kok. My condolences for people who know him, who was influenced by him, who was taught by him. I believed that the bond and memory will be hard to erase and God bless.

But please, be careful while crossing the road and do not be reckless while you are driving a car. Watch out for people. RIP Mr Wee.
