Dream III

3rd Dream in a week.

XX: "Will you mind holding my hands?"

KH: "But I thought you had a Boyfriend (aka BF)?"

XX: "It's ok. He wouldn't know anyway."

KH: "But............."

XX immediately place her index finger towards my lips and she moved slowly towards me. The smell of the perfume was so intoxicating. I was so nervous that my heart started to beat faster and faster..

Then she placed her chin on my shoulder. Her soft silky hair, brushing against my cheeks. At that moment, I felt that my heart will burst out of my ribcage.

"It's ok love. Don't worry." she whispered into my ears.

And she held my hands and pulled me along like a toy.

But I was enjoying it. It doesn't matter (or rather, I don't care), if she got a BF or what. As long as I am not close to the BF, and in this case, a stranger, it will be fine. We went around the place like a loving couple, walking around the mall, window-shopping all over the place.

But good things doesn't last long...

It ended when Md Hafiz sms-ed me. HAISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Dreams II.

I dreamt of a girl. She is overseas at the moment. She was at this table with Steven, Nicholas, Aidil and me. So halfway though, She asked.

"Where Hafiz?"

Nobody replied her.

Then Nicholas said he got coupon for dunno what Airport promotion. Then at the corner of my eye, I saw Eugene crossing the road to come towards us.

Then? Stay tune to next episode of My Dreams II

Degenaration/

It's been 3 years since I properly studied Chinese for my O levels in my secondary school and I had not been using them in writing ever since. Except for reading and speaking this language, I basically have zero usage in this ancient language, which have its roots from the Shang Dynasty, who recorded their writings on oracle bones in 1200 BC, approximately 3200 years ago.

And the birth of modern Chinese was born during the Qin Dynasty, the first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang, decided that he wanted to standardize a unified system for the usage of Chinese in his kingdom. This action of the Emperor eventually leads to the birth of Modern Chinese, called the Lishu (隸書), or Clerkly Script..

So the list below shows the development of Chinese over the centuries. For more details do visit the site listed below.

After 2007, my uses of Chinese had been minimal, other then using basic conversational Chinese with my classmates, due to the lack of opportunities to use it during lessons, as classes were all conducted in English and there is no visible need to even touch on Chinese as it had been relegated to a second-tier language after English.

This begs the questions: Is Chinese less important? Everyone is talking about the rise of China as a global economic power and Chinese is getting more and more emphasis in our global environment. So it brings the next questions: Are polytechnic students losing out to JC students who had a more rounded education and also a more in depth knowledge of Chinese during their 2 year course?

Why not put Chinese lessons into the class? I know there are Courses and Interdisciplinary Studies (IS) in Ngee Ann Poly (NP) which do provide Chinese studies if I am not wrong. But, those are only for those who were privileged enough to get in.

This is a worrying trend. What if Chinese goes the way of the Incas or the Aztec and become extinct and unknown?

It will be the most 'famous and greatest' extinction since the Dodo and the Dinosaurs.

Who want come?

Presented by National Museum of Singapore, in co-operation with Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna, Egyptian and Near Eastern Department
Venue
Exhibition Galleries 1 & 2, Basement
Date
TUE 22 DEC 2009 - SUN 4 APR 2010 10:00am - 6:00pm

The ancient Egyptian world is often characterised by a fascinating and remarkably supple mental universe. Ancient Egyptians melded images in ways that often beggar logic. They linked material elements with a realm inaccessible to humans, as reflected both in their daily conduct and their emphasis on the afterlife that led to their quest for immortality.

Quest for Immortality – The World of Ancient Egypt offers an insight to the ancient Egyptian’s attitude to life and the afterlife, and the preparations they made to ensure their transition from earthly existence to immortality. Discover the Egyptians’ means of equipping the dead – through mummification, provision of sustenance, magic and ritual – and explore the evolution of their burial rites as well as the changing relationship between man and ritual through time.

With 230 artefacts spanning from 4000 BCE to 950 CE, this exhibition endeavours to place tomb objects in their social, religious and artistic context, demonstrating the diversity and adaptability of an art that has prevailed in both time and space.

so sorry for disappointing you. But i guess dota was an outlet for me to vent my frustrations and a form of escapism from the real world. I just feel that I have to be responsible enough on both sides.

So I had to choose the difficult choice of rejecting you. I feel sorry but that's all i can do.
